Growing Candyland: flowering time, yield and breeder specs

Most listings put Candyland’s indoor flowering at about 8–9 weeks (Grand Daddy Purp, Weedmaps; Leafly says 7–9), with Garden of Green’s feminized version at 8–10, and outdoor harvests from late September to the end of October in the Northern Hemisphere. Leafly rates it easy to grow, with a high yield.1,2,3,4,5

What the plant is like

Expect compact, dense buds. Weedmaps describes narrow fan leaves, closely spaced nodes and dense flowers with substantial resin coverage, and Grand Daddy Purp describes smooth, tight buds in pale soft green with long, dark golden hairs; Leafly calls them compact and camouflage-colored, and its list of the 100 best strains mentions purple, green and fire-orange hairs.1,2,3,6 Leafly says it grows well indoors and out and suits sea-of-green setups, and Garden of Green calls its version “this deep purple lady”.3,4

What to watch for

Know which version you have. Weedmaps notes that later feminized offerings carry their own specifications, so advertised heights and yields belong to the particular release, and the listings differ: Grand Daddy Purp’s regular seeds are listed at about 60 days and early October, Garden of Green’s feminized seeds at 63 days and the end of October.1,2,4 Leafly adds that the strain can exhibit many different indica phenotypes.3

Seeds and the law in the US

Under the amended federal definition of hemp, viable seeds from cannabis plants above 0.3% total THC, including THCA, are not hemp.7 Congress delayed that exclusion, with most of the new definition, from Nov 12 to Dec 11, 2026; only the exclusion of products with cannabinoids the plant cannot produce naturally starts on Nov 12.8 Home cultivation rules are set by each state. This site does not sell seeds.
